Privacy Policy.

Last updated 24 August 2026

Privacy by default. We collect the minimum we need to keep dotrub trustworthy, and we are specific about identity documents because they are the most sensitive thing you give us.

What we collect

Account details (email, display name, username, city, bio, photo), what you publish (listings, reviews, reports, disputes), identity verification data (legal name, date of birth, document type and country, an image of your document and a selfie), and basic usage signals such as profile views.

How identity documents are handled

Your document image and selfie are uploaded to private storage that is not publicly reachable. They are not shown on your profile and other members can never see them. Only dotrub reviewers can open them, through short-lived links that expire after ten minutes, and only to decide whether to approve or reject your submission. Every review action is written to an internal audit log.

How long we keep documents

We keep your document and selfie only as long as needed to complete and defend the verification decision, and delete them when you close your account. Your verified status and the date of verification remain, because they are what other people rely on.

What is public

Public: published provider listings, their verification badges, ratings and published reviews with the review author's display label. Private: your email, identity documents, saved profiles, reports you file, and any unpublished listing.

Who we share with

We do not sell personal data. We share only with the service providers that run dotrub (hosting, database and storage, email delivery, payment processing) and with authorities where the law requires it.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your profile details at any time, unpublish a listing, withdraw a pending verification submission, and request deletion of your account and data from your account page. Deletion requests are actioned by our team and confirmed by email.
